Our cottage story
Two pairs of hands,
one little garden studio
We are Tom and Posy — a husband and wife who fell in love with cabinetmaking, with each other, and with a tumbledown stone cottage in the Cotswolds, more or less in that order.
In 2011 we hung a hand-painted sign on the gate that read Honeysuckle Lane Cabinets, set up two workbenches in the old dairy barn, and started painting little chests for friends. Fourteen years on, we still answer the door together, still drink tea between coats of milk paint, and still leave a pressed wildflower in every drawer.
"We don't make furniture for showrooms. We make it for the morning your daughter pours her first cup of tea from the cabinet you painted while she was learning to walk."
